How to manually encode a product?

Here's the Access level for FOOD AND BEVERAGE INDUSTRY:

• List

• Modifier / Add-on

• Category

• Brand (Not visible for box-time item display in the POS.)

Click to manually encode a new item.

You can drag and drop a product photo to make it visually appealing on both the POS screen and the online store.

📌 Basic Info Section

Please fill out the following required fields:

• Name – The product name (avoid special characters if possible)

• SKU – Must be unique; avoid duplicates

• Description – A short description of the item

🔔 Important: Before adding a new product, make sure you’ve manually added the related details (e.g., Category, Brand, Tags) in the appropriate modules under Catalog.

For Food & Beverage businesses, Category Type is a required field.

💸 Setting Up Prices

• Purchase Price – The cost of the item (can be left blank if not applicable)

• Selling Price – How much you’ll sell the item for

You may also add specific pricing per customer group or branch using the if needed.

💼 Commission Info (Optional)

The Commission Info section is optional and is mainly used by businesses that operate on a commission-based setup.

This is helpful if you want to reward staff per sale of specific products.

🛒 Example: If the cashier sells a Beef Nachos, the system will automatically tag a commission for the staff member who processed the sale.
