KDS Devices

A kitchen display system (KDS) in a POS system is essential for improving communication and efficiency in restaurants. It helps orders move smoothly from the POS to the kitchen monitor, ensuring that chefs receive real-time updates on what to prepare. By displaying orders on a screen, the KDS reduces mistakes and ensures food is made correctly. This results in faster service and satisfied customers, as their meals arrive quickly and accurately. The KDS also tracks cooking times and notifies staff of any delays using status indicators, helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Please contact Clibase Customer Support to set up your KDS devices, if applicable. You can customize the following settings:

• KDS Name: Edit the name displayed on your KDS found in the POS Advanced Interface.

  
• Product Categories: Choose which categories will appear on your KDS monitor and/or print on your KDS printer.

• Time and Level Colors: Adjust the time and display colors for your KDS monitor if applicable.

• Order Slip Preferences: Set whether to print an order slip for each item and adjust the print size accordingly.
