💰 Discount Types

The Discount Types module allows you to create and manage discounts that apply to the entire transaction, such as Senior Citizen, PWD, National Athlete, Zero-Rated, or custom promotional discounts.

To create a discount:

Go to: Sales Channels > Point of Sales > Discount Types

STEP 1: Click .

STEP 2: Fill out the following fields:

• Discount Name Enter a clear name for the discount (e.g., Senior Discount, Back-to-School Promo).

• Discount Category If the discount is not Senior Citizen, PWD, National Athlete, or Zero-Rated, choose Others.

• Industry Type Select the applicable industry category.

• Discount Format Choose whether the discount is a:

  • Percentage (e.g. 20%)

  • Fixed Amount (e.g. ₱50 off)

• Discountable/Non-discountable Items (optional) Specify which items the discount applies to, or exclude certain products if needed. This setting applies to products only.

• Expiration Settings (optional)

  • Set an expiry date if the discount is time-limited (e.g. promotions).

  • Indicate whether the discount is active or inactive.

STEP 3: Click to create the discount.
